Salesforce Spring '25 Release Dates

Spring is almost here for Salesforce users, and the Spring ’25 release is buzzing with potential to enhance the way we work, automate, and engage. Whether you’re a Salesforce admin, developer, or end-user, staying ahead of the release ensures a smooth transition and lets you start planning how to leverage the new features.

Here’s everything you need to know to stay prepared.

Release Dates to Remember

The Salesforce Spring ’25 release will roll out across three major upgrade weekends. Depending on your instance, your production environment will be upgraded on:

  • January 11, 2025
  • February 8, 2025
  • February 14, 2025

To confirm your instance’s exact upgrade date, visit Salesforce Trust and search your instance under “Maintenance.” Need to locate your instance? Check the Company Information section in Salesforce Setup for a quick answer.

Sandbox Preview and Pre-Release Orgs

Sandbox Preview Upgrade

Your sandbox is your best friend during release season—it’s where you’ll test the impact of changes in a controlled environment. Most sandboxes will upgrade to Spring ’25 on January 4, 2025, giving you time to test your processes and explore new features.

Pre-Release Orgs

Want an early peek at the Spring ’25 features? Salesforce will soon open up access to pre-release orgs, letting you explore the release in a clean environment. While these don’t reflect your specific setup, they’re invaluable for getting hands-on with the latest updates.

What’s Coming: Placeholder for Features

While the full release notes are still under wraps, we’re eagerly awaiting the official announcement to dive into the details. Here’s how we plan to break down the Spring ’25 features once they’re revealed:

  • Feature Name: What it is and why it matters.
  • Who It Affects: Admins, developers, end-users, etc.
  • Who It Benefits: Specific industries, departments, or job roles.
  • Excitement Rating: On a scale from 1 to 5, how thrilled we are about this feature.
  • Salesforce Product: The suite or cloud the feature belongs to.
  • How to Prepare: Steps to integrate or optimize the feature in your workflow.

Stay tuned—we’ll update this blog as soon as the release notes drop.
