Salesforce unveiled Agentforce 3, and they’re calling it the latest evolution of its digital labor platform, but what is it? While Agentforce has been available to help organizations automate work since 2024, this new release tackles the biggest challenge companies face as they scale AI agents: visibility and control.

So what exactly is Agentforce 3, and why should businesses care?
Early adopters of agentic AI saw productivity benefits, but they also hit a wall: teams couldn’t always see what their agents were doing, making it difficult to measure success or adapt quickly. Agentforce 3 introduces the Agentforce Command Center, a full observability layer that lets leaders monitor agent health, performance, and adoption in real time.
This means supervisors can finally treat AI agents like part of the workforce — tracking efficiency, spotting failures before they snowball, and optimizing outcomes with data-driven insights.
Agentforce 3 also leans into open standards. With native support for Model Context Protocol (MCP), Salesforce positions Agentforce as the “USB-C of AI,” making it easier to securely connect agents with enterprise tools.
Thanks to new integrations through MuleSoft and Heroku, customers can rapidly expose APIs and custom services as MCP-compliant, ensuring agents can act across systems without custom code headaches.
With adoption accelerating, companies need quick access to prebuilt capabilities. Agentforce 3 expands the AgentExchange, adding 30+ launch partners including AWS, Google Cloud, PayPal, Stripe, Box, and WRITER.
These partners provide plug-and-play MCP servers that allow AI agents to handle commerce, content generation, compliance, customer support, and more — all governed under enterprise-grade controls.
Behind the scenes, Salesforce has upgraded its Atlas architecture to deliver faster, more accurate, and more resilient agents. Organizations can also host natively integrated LLMs, such as Anthropic, to align performance with trust and governance requirements.
Combined with 100+ new industry actions and flexible pricing, companies like PepsiCo, UChicago Medicine, and 1-800Accountant are already seeing measurable ROI, from reduced handle times to higher customer retention.
The numbers tell the story: AI agent usage is up 233% in just six months, according to Salesforce’s upcoming Slack Workforce Index. But without visibility, interoperability, and governance, scaling agents beyond pilots has been nearly impossible.
Agentforce 3 changes that — offering leaders a clear path to scale agentic AI with confidence, accountability, and speed. Or in the words of Adam Evans, EVP & GM of Salesforce AI:
“Agentforce 3 will redefine how humans and AI agents work together — driving breakthrough levels of productivity, efficiency, and business transformation.”
Agentforce 3 isn’t just another update — it’s Salesforce’s answer to the enterprise’s biggest AI bottlenecks. By giving companies the tools to see, manage, and scale their AI workforce, Salesforce is positioning Agentforce as the control plane for the future of digital labor.
Keep working hard, smart, and happy. We’ll see you in the cloud!
